Toronto, Ontario -- February 28, 2012 Ring of Fire Resources Inc. (the "Company" or "ROF") (TSX-V: ROF, FRANKFURT: RG5, OTC.PK: HWKPF) is pleased to announce preliminary assay results from the second drill hole (KML 12-02) drilled on the Kingsmill Nickel Anomaly, Project 81, Timmins Area, Northern Ontario, Canada. Drill Hole KML 12-02 was collared from the same location as KML 12-01at an Azimuth of 300 and a dip of -600 for a total length of 620.6m that intersected Serpentinized Peridotite from 116.0m to 620.6m. Overburden thickness approximately 60.0m downhole and the entire section of the Serpentinized Peridotite was mineralized and had an overall grade of 0.25% Ni over 502.6m, with enriched sections (see table). KML 12-02 was terminated in mineralization
